Full Job Description

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for managing all bulk butter and nonfat dry milk powder (NFDM) sales activities for the company. This role oversees customer relationships, contract execution, inventory management, and pricing while ensuring customer needs and production capabilities are aligned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage sales of bulk butter and nonfat dry milk powder across assigned customer accounts.
  • Conduct weekly spot sales negotiations for butter and nonfat dry milk powder.
  • Assist with yearly and short-term contract administration.
  • Monitor dairy commodity markets, industry trends, production levels, and customer demand to provide accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, issue resolution, and service support.
  • Manage inventory and oversee the sale and disposition of aging and off-spec materials.
  • Ensure customer contracts and commitments are being met on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate closely with operation and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customer service support, including handling delays, schedule changes, product inquiries, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare daily warehouse orders and coordinate weekly packaging schedules as needed.
  • Measure, track, and report weekly KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, food safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Represent the company during customer visits, industry meetings, and trade events as required.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discreet handling of all business matters.
  • Adhere to all company safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
  • Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferred in Business, Agriculture, Food Science, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience within dairy manufacturing, food ingredients, agricultural commodities, or related industries preferred.
  • Travel as needed for customer visits, industry meetings, and trade events.
