Role SummaryThe D365 Cutover Rollout Manager is responsible for leading and executing end-to-end cutover activities associated with the transition from legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role ensures a controlled, low-risk deployment with minimal disruption to business operations. The Cutover Manager will develop and execute comprehensive cutover strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies across applications, oversee data migration and system readiness, and act as the central point of accountability during the cutover phase for large-scale and/or global implementations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCutover Planning & Execution
• Lead the Cutover workstream for Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, ensuring all cutover activities are delivered on time and as planned.
• Develop detailed cutover strategies, plans, runbooks, and readiness checklists across multiple deployment phases and applications.
• Coordinate mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, and final production cutovers.
Data Migration & System Readiness
• Oversee data migration activities, validating data completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation between legacy and target systems.
• Coordinate system validation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm production readiness.
• Ensure all entry and exit criteria for cutover milestones are met.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to cutover, data, environment readiness, and business continuity.
• Proactively manage inter-stream dependencies and resolve issues that may impact cutover timelines.
• Lead go/no-go decision support with clear risk assessments and mitigation options.
Stakeholder Communication & Governance
• Act as the primary cutover point of contact for program leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
• Provide regular cutover status reporting, dashboards, and executive-level communications.
• Facilitate cross-functional cutover meetings and command center activities during deployment.
Training & Transition Support
• Coordinate end-user readiness activities, including training alignment and post-go-live support planning.
• Support hypercare and stabilization periods following go-live to ensure successful adoption and operational continuity.
Key Skills and ExperienceExperience:
• Proven experience leading cutover activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, preferably large-scale or global rollouts.
• Strong background in ERP/CRM transformations involving complex system landscapes and multiple data sources.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, matrixed program environments.
Technical & Functional Expertise:
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules and deployment methodologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of cutover processes including data migration, environment management, system validation, and testing cycles.
• Familiarity with integration points between Dynamics 365 and downstream/upstream systems.
Project & Delivery Skills:
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to build, manage, and execute detailed cutover plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address issues under tight timelines and pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Soft Skills:
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
• Ability to assess risks, make informed decisions, and provide clear recommendations during high-impact cutover windows.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Prior experience with global or multi-country Dynamics 365 rollouts.
• Knowledge of data migration tools, ETL processes, and reconciliation techniques.
• Experience working with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
• Familiarity with Azure environments, DevOps practices, and release management.
• Prior experience delivering ERP or CRM transformations in the hospitality sector (e.g., hotels) is highly desirable.
• PMP, SAFe, Prosci, or other relevant certifications.
Work Environment• Primary Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with an expectation to work from client's office minimum 3 days per week.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 25%-50% travel may be required to client locations across Canada, U.S., and LATAM.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $76,336 - $179,088 CAD.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
