Full Job Description
Razor is looking for a Cybersecurity Tool Systems Administrator to support the Defense Client Data Center (DMDC) Cyber PRIMES program by administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise cybersecurity tools across large-scale Department of Defense IT environments. The role focuses on the installation, configuration, integration, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity platforms that support threat detection, vulnerability management, compliance, and enterprise security operations.

Education & Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant DoD 8140 certifications and industry certifications are preferred and may be required based on program requirements.

Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret clearance required. Some positions may require Top Secret/SCI clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

Location: Seaside, CA or Alexandria, VA (Mark Center). Flexible for occasional telework; candidates must reside locally.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity tools supporting Department of Defense information systems
  • Manage cybersecurity platforms supporting vulnerability management, endpoint protection, security monitoring, compliance, and incident response
  • Perform system administration, upgrades, patch management, configuration changes, and lifecycle maintenance for cybersecurity applications
  • Monitor cybersecurity tool health, performance, and availability to ensure reliable operations
  • Integrate cybersecurity tools with enterprise infrastructure, security platforms, and operational workflows
  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze performance problems, and implement corrective actions
  • Support vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, log management, and enterprise reporting activities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and system implementation documentation
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, SOC analysts, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support enterprise cybersecurity operations
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and continuous monitoring activities
  • Recommend improvements to cybersecurity tool configurations, automation, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:
  • Experience administering enterprise cybersecurity tools within Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, or security monitoring platforms
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience performing system configuration, patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting security monitoring, endpoint protection, or vulnerability management technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and enterprise networking concepts
  • Experience developing technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a mission-focused technical environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, Linux+, Microsoft, or other DoD 8140-compliant certifications
  • Experience administering enterprise cybersecurity platforms such as Microsoft Defender, ACAS, Tenable, HBSS, Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, ArcSight, or similar technologies
  • Experience supporting eMASS, RMF, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other automation and scripting languages
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal enterprise IT environments
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and enterprise security operations
  • Experience integrating cybersecurity tools with SIEM, ticketing, and workflow automation platforms
