Full Job Description
This position is tied to a federal proposal effort. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of the customer's onboarding and security requirements. Start dates and final reporting instructions will be confirmed upon award.

Who We're Looking For (Position Overview):
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Task Lead to serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the mission directorate in support of a critical DoD program. This senior leadership role carries full responsibility for the management and oversight of all contractor and subcontractor personnel, ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cybersecurity, IT governance, and government contracting - combined with the leadership authority to make binding organizational decisions, drive cross-functional collaboration, and proactively resolve contractual and programmatic challenges. What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

  • Serve as the primary POC and liaison between the Government and Contractor, facilitating effective communications at all levels while ensuring all tasks are accomplished IAW the PWS


  • Provide overall management and oversight of all contractor and subcontractor personnel, tracking and documenting requirements using industry-best standards to support continuous Government monitoring and evaluation


  • Maintain responsibility for contractor performance quality and efficiency, assist with financial and business processes, and proactively communicate potential contractual, programmatic, or resource issues to the Government


  • Implement and maintain compliance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC, while overseeing regular cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and internal and external security audits


  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and task execution across multiple project teams to prevent resource conflicts and ensure mission continuity


  • Lead crisis response efforts during major security incidents, ensuring timely detection, containment, and recovery in accordance with established incident response plans


  • Oversee the selection and management of third-party security vendors, ensuring all acquisitions meet organizational and Government security standards


  • Champion a security-first culture through organization-wide cybersecurity education, awareness training, and workforce development initiatives


  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that promotes ownership and responsiveness,while reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


  • Drive mission-focused innovation by identifying, shaping, and implementing practical technology and process enhancements that improve cybersecurity operations, streamline workflows, and strengthen enterprise IT performance, while ensuring all innovations align with DoD security standards, RMF requirements, and mission continuity needs


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

  • Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs at Fort Meade or similar high-side environments


  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity policies including DODI 8500.01 and DODI 8510.01


  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, or CGEIT


  • Minimum 5 years of IT leadership experience with demonstrated accountability for the effective implementation of enterprise-wide IT management responsibilities


  • Minimum 5 years of IT strategic planning experience, including developing and executing long-term strategies across all IT management functions


  • Minimum 5 years of IT workforce management experience, including assessing organizational IT workforce needs and developing strategies and plans to meet them


  • Minimum 5 years of IT budgeting experience, including managing annual and multi-year IT planning, programming, and budget decision-making processes


  • Minimum 5 years of IT investment management experience, including managing, evaluating, and assessing the effectiveness of an organization's IT resource utilization and performance


  • Minimum 5 years of Information Security and Privacy experience, including establishing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with an enterprise-wide information security program


  • Minimum 5 years of Digital Equity and Accessibility experience, including championing workforce digital equity and ensuring the accessibility of information and telecommunications technologies


Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Working knowledge of Federal IT governance frameworks including FITARA, the Clinger-Cohen Act, and OMB IT policy guidance


  • Experience with IT portfolio and investment management processes and Zero Trust Architecture principles


$180,000 - $200,000 a year

Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, clearance level, and contract requirements.. This position is contingent upon contract award.
