Full Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support a company focused on securing and maintaining mission-critical government information systems and networks. This position is on-site in Quantico, VA. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for vulnerability management, security compliance, system hardening, and the implementation of cybersecurity best practices across enterprise environments. Join a team dedicated to protecting critical systems that support national security and military operations.

Responsibilities for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for communication systems, networks, and enterprise environments
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, POA&M tracking, and reporting utilizing ACAS (Tenable Nessus/Security Center)
  • Administer and secure Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments while supporting Information Assurance (IA) requirements
  • Apply security patches, manage system hardening efforts, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Support security operations through the use of HBSS, PKI, firewalls, IDS/IPS technologies, VPNs, and other cybersecurity tools

Required Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Systems Administration, or a related field
  • Experience utilizing ACAS (Tenable Nessus/Security Center) for vulnerability scanning, patch management, compliance reporting, and POA&M tracking
  • Experience with cybersecurity technologies including HBSS, McAfee ePO, PKI, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, auditing, and security compliance programs
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Active IAT Level III Certification required (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, or equivalent)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Military or Marine Corps experience is highly preferred

Compensation for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:
  • Salary Range: competitive depending on experience
