Full Job Description
West Monroe is excited to hire a Cybersecurity - Senior Manager to deliver on full lifecycle Cyber projects for various industries, which may involve strategy & roadmap development, security controls reviews & remediation/hardening, risk advisory, compliance assessments, resiliency planning, application & cloud security, data protection, and/or identity management. Our senior managers engage directly with clients to understand their IT and cyber organization & systems, identify cybersecurity weaknesses, make recommendations, and lead consultants in hardening the environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, employee-centric firm and lead the improvement of security posture across different industries including: Private Equity, Energy & Utilities, Consumer and Industrial Products, Healthcare, and Financial Services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic cybersecurity consulting services for clients, ranging from strategy definition to solution implementation & adoption. Includes work in the private equity industry to address developing and executing against strategic roadmaps in various client scenarios, including carve-outs, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Leverage industry-recognized frameworks to lead risk assessments & controls reviews to develop implementation strategies and roadmaps to guide solution(s) delivery
  • Manage client relationships to determine project objectives and translate requirements into concrete proposals, including detailed work plans and cost estimates
  • Lead junior consultants on projects, delegate workstreams, and act as career advisor/mentor
  • Promote thought leadership in emerging Cybersecurity technologies and trends through writing blogs & white papers, attending industry events, and contributing to Centers of Excellence
  • Assist with business development at existing clients, looking for opportunities to cross-sell solutions
  • Actively build a professional & affiliate network
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity. Experience related to cybersecurity due diligence for M&A transactions and experience related to cybersecurity activities related to mergers, carveouts, and new company standups.
  • Adept at leading cyber risk assessments & controls reviews using NIST or similar frameworks
  • Well-versed in various compliance, privacy, and regulatory frameworks: SOC1/2, ISO 20001, PCI DSS, CMMC, FedRAMP, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity competencies such as security controls, incident response strategy, identity and access management, cloud security, application security, etc.
  • Knowledge of leading solutions/product capabilities for security domains
  • Experience delivering end-to-end solutions: people management, strategy/roadmap, design, solution development, implementation, change management, etc.
  • Competent verbal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements (15-20% per year on average)
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
