Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III - ECDS

Location: Springfield, VA

Position Overview:

RISA is seeking a Cross-Domain Engineer to support a fast-paced team that is provisioning customer dataflow in an Enterprise Cross-Domain System.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect requirements from stakeholders and determine best implementation solution. Schedule/attend Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to discuss/whiteboard design and implementation details.
  • Coordinates implementation approach and timeline with technical and project management staff.
  • Identifies and remediates potential implementation conflicts of CDS technologies across the enterprise.
  • Respond to and resolve service outages, technical queries, and other system-related issues.
  • Perform system checks (processes, services, network, storage) to ascertain overall system health. Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, deliver technical presentations, and effectively and accurately communicate technical information with co-workers and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance Ability to successfully pass and maintain a Government Polygraph (post-hire requirement)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field and Six (6) years of applicable experience
  • DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
  • Experience with Linux operating systems; understanding of general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts.

Desired:
  • Experience working with Cross Domain Solutions and operationally supporting CDS technologies on the NCDSMO-approved products list.


Work Environment:

Professional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees, customers, and outside vendors.

Expected Hours of Work:
  • 40 hours per week based on the customer's core operating hours.
