Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Implement technical security controls supporting a cloud-hosted enterprise digital services platform
- Collaborate with engineers, infrastructure teams, and security personnel to ensure applications and systems follow secure configuration practices
- Monitor system security posture and assist with vulnerability identification and remediation activities
- Support integration of security practices within application development and deployment workflows
- Assist with security monitoring and incident response support activities
- Work with DevSecOps teams to incorporate security scanning and validation processes into development pipelines
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of security related issues affecting application or infrastructure environments
- Participate in Agile delivery activities and collaborate with technical teams to support secure system operations
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Five or more years of experience supporting cybersecurity engineering or security operations activities
- Experience implementing security controls and secure system configurations
- Experience supporting vulnerability identification, remediation, and security monitoring activities
- Experience supporting enterprise digital platforms or web-based applications.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with engineering teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to security operations and system protection
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting security practices for applications hosted in cloud environments such as AWS
- Experience supporting DevSecOps environments integrating security testing into development workflows
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or similar are a plus
- Experience supporting federal or large enterprise technology programs
Other Requirements - Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment and government background investigation to include FBI fingerprints.
- This position requires access to U.S. Government facilities and systems. U.S. Citizenship, a valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance are required.
