Full Job Description
Render is searching for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our highly competent and motivated team supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This position is located at California, Maryland managing Navy and United States Marine Corps (USMC) Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for Group 5 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and supporting sensor systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining Assessment & Authorization (A&A) packages in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST)
- Address Security Controls in compliance with 85001.01 and 8510.01
- Work with customers and vendors to become knowledgeable with new systems from a technical perspective in support of Cybersecurity requirements
- Role requires the ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts in support of Navy & Marine Corps systems
- Establish and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory and resource demands
- Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies
- Apply expertise to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures
Basic Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5-12 years relevant experience
- Active DoD 8140/DoD 8570 certification (Security+)
- Must possess an active Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Access to eMASS or MCCAST
- Experience in supporting DoD programs and systems with STIG implementation
- FEDRAMP compliance is a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools for architecture and data flow diagrams.

This position has an annual salary range of $90,000 to $130,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and education and in consideration of internal pay equality.
The qualified candidate must be a US Citizen with an active/current DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
