We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience, with demonstrated work in cybersecurity or information assurance engineering.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable. 

Certifications 

8140 Requirements:

Dod Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist — Intermediate. Candidates must satisfy this requirement through one of the following pathways:

• BA/BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering

Or

• Approved DCWF 521 certifications: (at least one of these certifications)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
  • CompTIA PenTest+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON)
  • GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Or

• Approved DCWF Work Role 521 Military Training

AND

  • o Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • o GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)

Or

• Approved DCWF Work Role 441 Military Training

AND

Computing Environment Certification

• F5 Certified Technology Specialist ASM.

Clearance

• Secret with IT-1 (Tier5/SSBI)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform a variety of technical and analytical project tasks related to specialized Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity requirements.

• Integrate electronic processes and methodologies to identify, analyze, and resolve system-level and technology-based IA challenges.

• Analyze and interpret information security requirements to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational cybersecurity policies and standards.

• Apply systematic and analytical approaches to improve workflow, organizational structures, and planning related to cybersecurity operations.

• Provide security engineering support throughout the system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure implementation of network and system architectures.

• Recommend and implement security measures and controls to protect information systems from unauthorized access or misuse.

• Support continuous monitoring and risk management processes to maintain secure system configurations.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $115,000 - $175,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
