Job Title Cybersecurity Analyst-Identity and Access Control Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Cybersecurity Work Schedule and Other Information Brief Description The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting HRSD ITD by maintaining and securing IAM, PAM, and access control technologies that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems across the enterprise. This position is responsible for managing user lifecycle processes, role-based access control (RBAC), privileged access, and monitoring identity platforms such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The analyst detects anomalous access behavior and responds to potential threats, collaborating with both internal teams and managed security services to address and resolve identity-related incidents. Additionally, the role includes maintaining runbooks and playbooks, as well as supporting the insider threat program by assisting with provisioning and deprovisioning during elevated risk events. Job Requirements
Education

Required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience to meet this expectation
• Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.

Experience

Required
• 4 years of experience supporting cybersecurity or identity services in a small-to-mid-size, multi-site organization (1000+employees) and a broad functional knowledge of information assurance and identity security concepts
• Experience with IAM administration, access provisioning, role management, authentication technologies, or directory services
• System administrator or cyber analyst experience with identity-focused controls and access governance

Desired
• Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID /Linux identity services
• Experience securing access within industrial control system environments (SCADA or DCS)
• Familiarity working with Managed Security Services Providers
• Experience with IAM or PAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Beyond Trust, Delinea, or similar)

Licenses and Certifications Requirements

Required
• IAPP, ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA, or Microsoft Identity relevant certifications in good standing
• Valid driver's license from state of residence
