Job Description:

As a GDIT Cyber Systems Integration Engineer, the work you’ll do will be impactful to the mission of our Federal, Intelligence and Defense customers. You will bring deep expertise designing, building, deploying, and configuring enterprise applications and services in a complex IT environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience integrating enterprise-class applications, middleware, identity and access solutions, and cloud/on-premises services into a secure, resilient, and scalable architecture. This role requires strong hands-on engineering capability, solution design expertise towards Zero Trust architecture, and the ability to work across diverse technology stacks in collaboration with cross-functional teams.


MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Cyber Systems Integration Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of DoW mission Zero Trust strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop integration strategies, patterns, and reference architectures for enterprise applications and services in support of Zero Trust security strategy.

  • Ensure designs align with organizational security standards, compliance frameworks, and best practices (e.g., Zero Trust, NIST, FISMA).

  • Document system integration workflows, data flows, and dependencies.

  • Configure and deploy enterprise applications, APIs, middleware, and supporting services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

  • Implement authentication and authorization flows using IAM/ICAM technologies (e.g., Okta, Microsoft AD/Entra ID).

  • Develop and maintain integrations between identity providers, network security tools, ITSM systems, data stores, and enterprise services.

  • Utilize industry-standard protocols (e.g., SAML, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, REST, SOAP) to ensure secure and seamless interoperability.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues and provide escalation support for complex system interactions.

  • Embed security controls into integration solutions to meet enterprise, federal, and industry regulatory requirements.

  • Support audit, compliance, and monitoring activities by providing integration documentation and evidence.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your technology and leadership expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The GDIT Systems Integration Engineer must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • 15+ years preferred

Technical skills:

  • Proven track record of excellence in Systems Integration.

  • Strong knowledge of networking, authentication, authorization, and enterprise security standards.

  • Experience deploying applications and services across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle.

  • Solid understanding of API integration.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and enterprise security practices.

  • Strong problems solving skills.

  • Excellent communications and documentation skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active SECRET clearance.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and drive outcomes in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Ability to resolve complex IT challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Federal and Department of War customers desired.

The likely salary range for this position is $149,469 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
