Full Job Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a Cyber Solution Area Lead to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

The Cyber Solution Area Lead (Cyber SAL) will lead the strategy, development, and advancement of our cybersecurity capability across the federal market. This is a company-level leadership role for someone who understands the cyber mission, sees where the market is going, and knows how to translate technical expertise into differentiated offerings, stronger customer relationships, smarter investments, and measurable business growth.

You will define what we want to be known for in Cyber, where we can win, what capabilities we should build, and how we turn our best ideas and delivery experience into repeatable solutions that customers value.

This is not a traditional P&L, sales-quota, or program-delivery role. It is a high-impact horizontal leadership position for someone who can mobilize expertise across the company and make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

What You'll Own
  • Shape Our Cyber Strategy and Market Position - Own and govern the direction, priorities, market position, offering portfolio, and capability roadmap for the Cyber Solution Area
  • Build a Portfolio of Cyber Offerings - Transform our expertise into a focused portfolio of named, differentiated, repeatable Cyber offerings
  • Drive Growth - Partner closely with Growth, Account, and technical teams on the customer opportunities that matter most
  • Lead the Cyber Community Across the Company - Lead a cross-company Cyber Core Team bringing together leaders and practitioners from Business Units, Delivery, Growth, R&D, Partnerships, Marketing, and other relevant functions
  • Shape Where We Invest - Own the business and portfolio recommendations for company-funded Cyber R&D, IRAD, reusable solutions, accelerators, and other capability investments
  • Represent Everforth ECS in the Federal Cyber Market - Represent Everforth ECS in customer engagements, industry forums, conferences, panels, partner discussions, and other venues where a strong point of view can strengthen our market position.

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for a senior Cyber capability leader who combines technical credibility with proven business acumen.

You do not need to be the deepest hands-on engineer in the company. You do need to understand Cyber deeply enough to engage credibly with senior customers, engineers, program leaders, Growth teams, technology partners, and executives-and to know the difference between an interesting idea and a capability that can create real customer and business value.

The strongest candidates will bring a combination of:
  • Broad fluency across the cybersecurity domain
  • Strong understanding of the federal technology and mission market
  • Experience engaging customers and understanding mission needs
  • Experience supporting growth, capture, solutioning, or strategic pursuits
  • Understanding of how Cyber capabilities are actually delivered on programs
  • Strong judgment around technology and R&D investment
  • Ability to work effectively with technology partners and commercial vendors
  • Strong matrix leadership and the ability to mobilize people across organizational boundaries
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior customers and industry leaders
  • A strong point of view about where the Cyber market is headed-and the curiosity to keep challenging it

Why This Role Matters

This is an opportunity to do more than manage a portfolio.

It is an opportunity to define what Cyber becomes at Everforth ECS.

You will have visibility across the company, access to exceptional technical and mission talent, and the ability to influence customer strategy, growth, delivery, partnerships, R&D, and investment.

If you are the kind of leader who can see patterns others miss, connect people and capabilities across organizational boundaries, turn expertise into market advantage, and build something that scales well beyond yourself, we want to talk to you.

Salary Range: $275,000 - $350,000

General Description of Benefits

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, or related federal mission environments, including progressively responsible technical or leadership roles.
  • Broad cybersecurity expertise across multiple areas such as Zero Trust, identity and access management, cloud security, network security, cyber operations, vulnerability management, DevSecOps/software security, data protection, and security architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Federal Government customers and missions, with an understanding of federal cybersecurity priorities, acquisition environments, and technology modernization challenges.
  • Experience translating customer and mission needs into technical solutions, capabilities, offerings, or strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business development, capture, solutioning, strategic pursuits, or customer shaping activities.
  • Experience developing or influencing technology strategies, capability roadmaps, solution portfolios, or investment priorities.
  • Strong understanding of how cybersecurity capabilities are designed, implemented, accredited, operated, and sustained within federal environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and matrixed teams without direct organizational authority.
  • Ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts in terms of mission outcomes, customer value, competitive differentiation, and business impact.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated credibility engaging senior government customers, technical leaders, industry partners, and corporate executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies and determine whether to build, buy, partner, integrate, or reuse capabilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance appropriate to customer and mission requirements.
