GovCIO is currently hiring for a cyber secuirty / HBSS Administrator to support IT operations in support of US Army North. This position will be located at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsiteposition.
ResponsibilitiesThe overarching purpose of this team effort is to provide Help Desk, Network Operations, Network Engineering, and Cybersecurity Support
for US Army North. US Army North is the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) to US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) and must be capable to stand up and deploy multiple task forces in the event of natural or man-made disasters. The Army North Information Technology Directorate, known as the 2G-6,2 provides Help Desk/Service Desk, daily operations management, technical management services, and cybersecurity support for the Command. US Army North controls its own NIPRNET and provides all planning and support, to include all required RMF/ATO processes. The 7th Signal Command owns the SIPRNET; however, there is a cooperative arrangement in which Army North provides certain SIPRNET planning and administrative functions, to include maintaining the Tenant Security Plan (TSP), planning new SIPRNET connections, and coordinating for the Authority to Connect (ATC) for new and changed SIPRNET instances.
The successful candidate installs, administers, and troubleshoots an ARNORTHs security solutions. The security administrator will ensure the network's security, protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems. He/She will work with the cyber security team to provide coverage for 10.5 hours a day during normal duty days (e.g. shift work between 0630-1700 Monday-Friday less Federal holidays). Typical activities include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
5 years of experince should be in a cyber security role.
in-depth understanding and experience using Host Based Security System (HBSS)
Bachelors degree in computer scitence, IT-related field, business adminstration, or technology management.
IAT Level II Certification (e.g. SEC+ or equivalant)
Preferred Skills and Experience: five years9 experience using eMASS and the RMF processes to provide continuous monitoring of networks.
