GovCIO is currently hiring for a cyber secuirty / HBSS Administrator to support IT operations in support of US Army North. This position will be located at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsiteposition.

The overarching purpose of this team effort is to provide Help Desk, Network Operations, Network Engineering, and Cybersecurity Support

for US Army North. US Army North is the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) to US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) and must be capable to stand up and deploy multiple task forces in the event of natural or man-made disasters. The Army North Information Technology Directorate, known as the 2G-6,2 provides Help Desk/Service Desk, daily operations management, technical management services, and cybersecurity support for the Command. US Army North controls its own NIPRNET and provides all planning and support, to include all required RMF/ATO processes. The 7th Signal Command owns the SIPRNET; however, there is a cooperative arrangement in which Army North provides certain SIPRNET planning and administrative functions, to include maintaining the Tenant Security Plan (TSP), planning new SIPRNET connections, and coordinating for the Authority to Connect (ATC) for new and changed SIPRNET instances.

The successful candidate installs, administers, and troubleshoots an ARNORTHs security solutions. The security administrator will ensure the network's security, protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems. He/She will work with the cyber security team to provide coverage for 10.5 hours a day during normal duty days (e.g. shift work between 0630-1700 Monday-Friday less Federal holidays). Typical activities include, but are not limited to:

• Periodically scan the NIPRNET and provide a weekly brief on the vulnerabilities and risks detected.

• Under Government direction, ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Cybersecurity certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01 6 M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, and DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity. This includes the management of the G6 portion of the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) process and the performance PKI Enhanced Trusted Agent duties, issuing and revoking SIPRNET and Administrator tokens for ARNORTH personnel.
• Assist the Government in preparing cybersecurity audits, inspections, training, policy and other staff actions. The cybersecurity staff shall inspect all remote user sites once per year.
• Respond to security incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the networks responding to cyber events IAW Command Incident Response Plan.
• Investigating additions and changes to cybersecurity processes to identify, measure, and control threats to minimize the unauthorized disclosure of information via monitoring, IAVAs, and cost-effective countermeasures.
• Document integration of procedures changes, organization hardware and software acceptance testing, and mitigation procedures in accordance with organization and industry standards.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance of NIPRNET systems and applications. Create weekly IAVA status report and work with other Leads to identify, patch and correct vulnerabilities.
• Assist the government by providing research, documentation, artifacts, and administrative support for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for the Commands NIPRNET, DDASS, deployable C2 node type accreditations, future IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployments, and other accreditations as required.
• Managing the ARNORTH SIEM environment, NETAPP Storage Area Network (SAN), SNAP Manager, and VM Ware environment using the DISA STIGs, ARCYBER CTOs, ARNORTH SOP, and standard industry best practices.

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

5 years of experince should be in a cyber security role.

in-depth understanding and experience using Host Based Security System (HBSS)

Bachelors degree in computer scitence, IT-related field, business adminstration, or technology management.

IAT Level II Certification (e.g. SEC+ or equivalant)

• Clearance Required: Secret

Preferred Skills and Experience: five years
9 experience using eMASS and the RMF processes to provide continuous monitoring of networks.
