Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN or Remote

Relocation assistance will not be provided.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures to protect the organization from cyber threats. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and NAC.
  • Monitor network traffic and security logs for anomalies and potential threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance overall security posture.
  • Maintain and Setup Security tooling both on prem and in the Cloud environment.
  • Maintain and configure security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and DLP solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Document security incidents, findings, and mitigation strategies.


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 1+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity or IT security roles.
  • Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • JD/PhD
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity or IT security
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must be a US Citizen


Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies.
  • Experience with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, NDR, Forensic Tooling, Firewalls.
  • Understanding of network security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and ISO27001.
  • Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and secure network design principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
