Full Job Description
Delaware Nation Industries is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator - Senior to support cybersecurity administration, monitoring, compliance, vulnerability management, and incident response for the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System/Joint Interoperability Test and Services mission. This position will help protect classified and unclassified systems while sustaining the availability and operational effectiveness of mission-critical services.

The Senior Cyber Security Administrator will work closely with JWAC Government personnel, system administrators, network teams, and other mission stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, analyze events, document compliance, and respond to cybersecurity incidents. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of DoD security requirements and the ability to translate findings into timely, technically sound remediation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cybersecurity administration and operations across classified and unclassified systems, networks, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Conduct security monitoring, auditing, vulnerability scanning, configuration review, compliance validation, and threat-mitigation activities.
  • Apply DISA STIGs, IAVAs, SCAP checklists, security baselines, and other applicable DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Administer, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and optimize ACAS/Nessus/Security Center and HBSS or comparable vulnerability and endpoint-security capabilities.
  • Review vulnerability results, prioritize findings, coordinate remediation, validate corrections, and maintain accurate status and compliance reporting.
  • Support required remediation timelines, including resolution of IAVAs and STIG findings within Government-approved deadlines or documented waiver processes.
  • Monitor security events and system activity; investigate suspicious behavior, analyze indicators, and support incident response and recovery activities.
  • Report cybersecurity incidents in accordance with applicable incident-response policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Support security-control assessments, self-inspections, authorization activities, RMF documentation, Plans of Action and Milestones, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation, system security plans, security-control evidence, network and system diagrams, operating procedures, and assessment records.
  • Coordinate with Windows, Linux, network, storage, application, service desk, vendor, and Government teams to resolve security and operational issues.
  • Support secure configuration, patching, account management, access control, least privilege, certificates, logging, and system-hardening activities.
  • Provide technical recommendations that improve the security, resilience, availability, and maintainability of JWAC systems.
  • Develop or maintain scripts, reports, dashboards, and repeatable workflows that improve cybersecurity operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, cross-training, and knowledge transfer to other cybersecurity and systems-administration personnel.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, exercises, technical interchange meetings, incident response, and after-hours or on-call support as required.

Requirements
  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • At least five (5) years of professional cybersecurity administration, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, or comparable DoD cyber-operations experience.
  • DoD Cyber Workforce Framework and DoD 8140-compliant certification appropriate to the position; candidates must be able to satisfy JWAC certification and privileged-user requirements before receiving administrative rights.
  • Experience with DISA STIGs, IAVAs, ACAS/Nessus, HBSS, vulnerability remediation, security monitoring, and incident reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, system administration, access controls, patch management, and security hardening.
  • Experience analyzing technical findings, coordinating remediation across teams, and producing clear compliance or incident documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize competing requirements, and collaborate with technical and Government stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Air Force, JWAC, JITS, JCCE, SIPR, NIPR, JWICS, intelligence, or other DoD mission environments.
  • Experience with Tenable Security Center/Nessus, Trellix/McAfee HBSS, Forescout, LogRhythm, Elastic, SIEM platforms, or comparable cybersecurity tools.
  • Familiarity with RMF, Authority to Operate packages, security-control assessments, Bodies of Evidence, SCAP, STIG Viewer, and DoD Cyber Exchange resources.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Git, automation, DevSecOps, cloud, containers, or security orchestration workflows.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SCCM/MECM, VMware, enterprise storage, network security, firewalls, PKI, certificates, and identity or access-management technologies.
  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity guidance, DoD cybersecurity policy, incident-handling procedures, and continuous-monitoring practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, networking, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • CISSP, CASP+, Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or another current DoD-approved certification appropriate to the assigned cyber work role.
