Responsibilities 

  • Synchronizes cyberspace operations planning with OIE, IW, and sensitive activities objectives to ensure cyber effects 

  • Plans and integrates cyberspace capabilities in support of OIE, IW, and sensitive activities leveraging JPP, MDMP and joint/service cyber doctrine 

  • Develops and integrates cyber-related OPORD inputs, annexes, appendices, tabs, and concepts of operation, translating strategic, operational and tactical guidance into executable cyber tasks. 

  • Incorporates cyber intelligence, threat/vulnerability assessments, and target development to inform OIE planning, prioritization, and operational design. 

  • Advises leadership on cyber-related risks, policies, rules of engagement, requests for forces, request for support, opportunities, authorities, and second- and third-order effects impacting operational/campaign objectives. 

  • Establishes and applies measures of performance and effectiveness to assess cyber contributions to OIE outcomes and support adaptive planning. 

  • Coordinates with U.S. Cyber Command, Joint Cyber Enterprise elements, Cyber Mission Forces (CMF), service cyber components, national agencies, and mission partners to synchronize cyber operations.  

  • Integrates compartmented cyber capabilities and Special Access Programs into training and operations. 

  • Ensures cyber planning complies with applicable legal, policy, and authority constraints while producing decision-quality planning products and briefs. 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • TS/SCI security clearance

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in a relevant field. 

  • 5 years’ experience planning, coordinating, and synchronizing cyberspace operations at the CCMD, Service Component, Joint Task Force or similar level.  

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to produce executive-level documentation  

  • 10 years demonstrated experience with military planning processes including Joint Planning Process (JPP), military decision-making process, joint targeting process, and/or military campaign planning 

  • Familiarity with Cyber Subordinate Headquarters, Cyber Mission Teams (CMT), National Mission Teams (NMT), Combat Support Teams (CST), National Support Teams (NST), and Cyber Protection Teams (CPT). 

Desired: 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organization 

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating compartmented or sensitive operational activity with the IC, Interagency, Allies and/or Partners 

  • Graduate of Cyber Officer Basic Leader Course, Cyber Captains Career Course or Joint/Service equivalent 

  • Knowledgeable in intelligence disciplines, capabilities, limitations, and platforms and relevant Intelligence Community Directives.
