Cyber Engineering - Sr Advisor

About your role:

You will serve as a strategic operator, trusted advisor, and execution partner to the SVP of Application, Network, and Cloud Security. This role helps translate cybersecurity leadership priorities into clear operating rhythms, measurable outcomes, executive-ready communications, and high-impact deliverables across application security, network security, cloud security, cyber operations, risk management, and emerging technology initiatives.

You will work across technical, business, and senior leadership audiences to improve alignment, accountability, and execution. Success in this role requires strong cybersecurity acumen, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, sound judgment, and experience using artificial intelligence responsibly to accelerate analysis, streamline communications, and increase team productivity.

What you'll do:
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the SVP, helping prioritize the cybersecurity agenda, manage executive commitments, and ensure follow-through on critical initiatives.
  • Drive operating discipline across the Application, Network, and Cloud Security organization through leadership cadences, business reviews, risk discussions, metrics reporting, and decision tracking.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, milestones, dashboards, executive updates, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate high-priority cross-functional initiatives involving cybersecurity, technology, infrastructure, product, risk, compliance, legal, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive-level communications, including briefings, leadership updates, talking points, strategy narratives, and decision memos.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and techniques to accelerate research, synthesize complex information, identify patterns, draft communications, improve workflows, and enhance team productivity while maintaining appropriate governance, confidentiality, and risk controls.
  • Partner with security leaders to track progress against strategic objectives, key performance indicators, cyber risk reduction goals, regulatory commitments, and operational improvement plans.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or a closely related technical field.
  • Proven ability to support or lead executive-level operations, strategic initiatives, transformation programs, or complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including risk management, vulnerability management, threat landscape, incident response, security architecture, cloud security, application security, network controls, and governance.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, communication, workflow automation, knowledge management, or executive reporting.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to create concise, polished, executive-ready materials from complex technical inputs.
  • Excellent verbal communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to lead discussions, synthesize viewpoints, influence stakeholders, and communicate with clarity under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill ambiguity into structured options, recommendations, and action plans.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information and executive-level priorities.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience working directly with senior cybersecurity, technology, risk, or infrastructure executives.
  • Background in management consulting, strategy, program management, business operations, technology transformation, or cyber leadership operations.
  • Experience building executive dashboards, operating models, performance scorecards, roadmap views, or risk reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, prompt engineering, automation opportunities, and the secure use of AI within enterprise environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PMP, cloud security certifications, or equivalent professional experience.

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Travel:
