Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Defense Analysis Infrastructure Architect to provide technical support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert level contributions to adapt networks, firewalls, and gateway components, systems, and interfaces to the Cyber Agile Acquisition process used in the CDA Weapon System. 
  • Combine the interaction of high volume, high speed, high reliability network architectures and domain controllers to provide DoDAF quality network diagrams that solve complex sustainment requirements. 
  • Identify and propose upgrade roadmaps in hardware and software to the existing CDA Weapon System to accommodate future capabilities.  
  • Produce artifacts of a quality that can assist other members of the IPT (Engineering, Program Management, Cybersecurity, and Product Support) to gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of Cyber acquisitions and sustainment initiatives. 
  • Provide detailed technical baselines and recommended viable solutions and alternative courses of action directly to the PM in an independent fashion. 
Qualifications

5+ years experience in networks and infrastructure in a DoD environment.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.  Must be CCNP certified.  Experience in all phases to include Material Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing Development, Production and Deployment, Operations and Support.  Experience in an ACAT Level III environment.  Knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of acquisition and sustainment network engineering and methodologies.  Detailed knowledge of specialized Cyber specific functions, and how to trade off various performance metrics (latency, collisions, secure channels) to improve the performance of the CDA Weapon System.  Able to work proactively and effectively communicate to produce quality acquisition and program documentation and associated artifacts (briefings, documents, plans, reports, estimates, etc.).  Advanced knowledge of the cyber and networking domains to support quick reaction efforts that involve high intensity collaboration between MAJCOM requirements, acquisition IPTs, and the Warfighter.  Familiar with the CDA Weapon System or equivalent Enterprise Level Passive/Active Information Protection and Monitoring System.  Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.  Proficient with MS Office suite.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
