Job Summary

Coordinates, manages, and provides comprehensive oversight for the procurement, integration, testing, and installation of RCS systems, specifically on the Ford class CVN platforms. Brings a "can-do", positive attitude to the workplace and remains adaptable in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Possesses a strong technical background in RF systems along with excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. May require working in dynamic industrial environments aboard Navy platforms.

Telework is not supported. Requires travel to various shipyards, installation sites, or vendor locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Project Oversight: Coordinates, manages, and oversees the full lifecycle of RCS systems on Ford class CVN platforms, from initial procurement through to final integration, testing, and installation.
  • System Integration & Testing: Ensures that all radio communications are properly integrated and rigorously tested to meet operational and technical standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Oversees contractor diagnoses, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues related to RF systems and communication suites during installation and testing phases.
  • Technical Documentation: Reads and interprets complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate system installation and compliance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with engineering teams, project managers, vendors, and installation crews to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least ten (10) years of experience supporting U.S. Navy Shipboard C5I or electronic systems installations & troubleshooting complex integrated shipboard systems. Must have experience conducting shipboard surveys, installation assessments, technical evaluations. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with Government customers, shipyard personnel, engineers, and program management. Knowledge of shipboard network integration and interoperability testing.

Education Requirements

Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Relevant military experience or equivalent technical experience may be substituted for formal education.
