Job SummaryThe Global Trade Compliance Manager is a key role within the company's global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable import/export laws, regulations, and sanctions requirements. This role drives strategic compliance initiatives, supports global business expansion, and mitigates regulatory risk through robust governance, due diligence, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)- Support global import/export compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and adherence to export controls and sanctions regulations
- Collection/Coordination/ Tracking of the corrective actions from Self-Assessments/Broker corrective actions/Audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audit programs (classification, valuation, country of origin, ACE filings, BIS/export controls), including remediation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support and ensure compliance with regulatory programs including BAA (Buy American Act), BABA (Build America, Buy America), TAA (Trade Agreements Act), and similar requirements under the Trade Ops.
- Develop, implement, and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Manage and analyze trade compliance metrics, CTPAT, and data trends to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Education (minimum education required)Some College in Legal or Engineering Management
OtherThe ideal candidate holds a degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and brings prior experience working in global, multi-jurisdictional trade compliance environments. This is a sedentary role involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
