The Boeing GTE Courseware Design team is currently looking for an ESM Systems Specialist to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. This organization supports Boeing's Electronic Warfare (EW) Suite to build/update and service national EW databases.

The ESM Systems Specialist is responsible for developing training to cover the end-to-end operational health, data integrity, and software configuration of the ESM subsystem. You will serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for developing curriculum and training materials for the Electronic Warfare (EW) Suite-from system performance and capabilities, configuring sensor setups, performing system checks, troubleshooting anomalies, verifying data accuracy, and EW system models to build/update and service national EW databases.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Oklahoma City, OK facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software & Data Management:
    • Manage software configurations and baseline updates for the ESM system.
    • Execute the secure upload and download of mission data sets and library information.
    • Interpret, manipulate, and analyze complex data structures and system coding.
    • Support the analysis of intelligence reports in support of mission data development, testing and generation
    • Support EW system models to build/update and service national EW databases
    • EW mission data analysis and testing and system programming/reprogramming
  • System Operations:
    • Operate the ESM subsystem during active missions or trials.
    • Support EW all-source intelligence research and engineering analysis to characterize system performance and capabilities
    • Support analysis of ground, naval and aircraft radar, radar warning receivers, communications, electronic attack, identify friend or foe, navigation, electro-optical/infrared, weapon systems, and other onboard electronic systems
    • Determine and implement optimal sensor setups based on the electromagnetic environment.
    • Perform systematic operational checks to ensure peak hardware and software performance.
  • Data Integrity & Coordination:
    • Ensure accurate collection, real-time display, and dissemination of Electronic Support (ES) data.
    • Collaborate with external intelligence and technical agencies to validate and verify data accuracy.
    • Document/support technical analysis and assessments with strong attention to detail
    • Support organizations charged with exploiting EW database information to develop weapon systems and electronic countermeasures and to formulate tactics and operational deployment strategies
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis:
    • Identify and resolve system malfunctions or anomalous behaviors.
    • Analyze/Resolve EW feedback reports from the operational user community
    • Investigate database mismatches or misidentifications to improve identification algorithms.
    • Conduct and verify engineering analysis on weapon systems, platforms, electro-optic systems and communication systems


This position requires an active U.S. SECRET Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) or ESM system operations.
  • Data Literacy: Ability to work with technical coding, data protocols, and software configuration management tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret signal data and recognize technical patterns or system anomalies. Ability to analyze problems, conduct research, and summarize findings.
  • Communication: Skilled in technical reporting and cross-agency coordination. Ability to support analysis across several technical disciplines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Instructor/Evaluator experience and understanding of ISD principles


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and operations.
  • Experience in system level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation for EW systems applications.
  • Familiarity with development and collaboration tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience analyzing, designing, and integrating ground based ELINT and EW systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ELINT systems and subsystems specifications.
  • Previous experience entering and updating, maintaining, and extracting data from source databases.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, and other ESM software tools.
  • Understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts along with basic understanding of the engineering practices and procedures required to develop, text, and deploy EW systems.
  • Experience with Intel sources such as Common Emitter Database (CED) and Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB).
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience working with government and military customers.
  • Presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual).
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines.

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
