Full Job Description
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Manager to support our Air Force (DAF) Intelligence and Information Dominance customers. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of emerging technologies for the warfighter.

Your responsibilities will include accelerating delivery against customer outcomes as part of a cross-functional account team, managing an existing portfolio of mission-critical customers, and ensuring successful execution and value realization across USAF programs supporting command and control, weather, intelligence, and OCONUS missions. This includes driving adoption strategies, collaborating across AWS, and engaging with customers and industry partners to influence and accelerate cloud and AI adoption.

The role requires a professional who is experienced in customer success management, program delivery, and customer relationship management for emerging technology programs in the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will have (1) expertise operating in entrepreneurial and highly matrixed environments, (2) the ability to translate customer requirements into technology solutions, and (3) past performance implementing and delivering technology solutions that drive measurable customer outcomes. Candidates should have an understanding of DoD infrastructures, policies, and operational performance requirements.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

This position requires 25-40% travel dependent on customer locations and classification requirements.

Key job responsibilities

Own & Influence: Lead complex DoD customer engagements end-to-end as a trusted advisor to senior military and civilian decision makers, delivering measurable outcomes across multiple USAF programs

Drive Adoption & Delivery: Develop and execute cloud adoption roadmaps aligned with program milestones; accelerate delivery and value realization across a portfolio of classified workloads

Accelerate Value: Identify opportunities for large-scale migrations, generative AI, and modernization that advance USAF missions and operational efficiency

Navigate Ambiguity: Operate independently in classified environments (Secret/TS/SCI) with incomplete information, using high judgment to provide clarity to customers and internal teams

Enable & Govern: Design AI readiness assessments, governance frameworks, and executive briefings that prepare customers for cloud transformation and long-term operational excellence

Advocate & Advise: Serve as the customer's voice within AWS, providing actionable insights that inform service improvements and align internal teams to customer priorities

Collaborate & Coordinate: Bridge AEs, SAs, TAMs, and ProServe to ensure cohesive execution against customer cloud strategy

Build, Scale & Mentor: Build scalable mechanisms, develop best practices, and mentor within and across teams to elevate CSM performance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience

- 5+ years of work in enterprise IT, either as a vendor, consultant or have prior experience working with or managing technical programs experience

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field

- Experience in leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion

- Experience working in enterprise IT, either as a vendor, consultant or have prior experience working with or managing technical programs

- Experience in customer-facing roles

- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- AWS or other cloud certification

- Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery or IT lifecycle

- Experience coordinating between project teams and customers to meet unique customer requirements

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
