Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and cybersecurity in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with AI Security, Cloud Security posture management, Cloud IAM, network security, data security, regulatory compliance frameworks, or creating security architectures.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with architecting and implementing security concepts in the cloud, including: AI Security, Trust and Safety, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identify Provider (IdP), identity lifecycle management, firewalls, zero trust, secrets management, SecOps, data loss prevention (DLP), or encryption.
  • Experience with technical writing, public speaking, or community engagement (e.g., blogs, conferences, open source contributions).
  • Experience securing AI/GenAI workloads.
  • Experience with multi-cloud solutions.

As a Practice Customer Engineer (CE) with a specialty in Security and Compliance, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will serve as a technical expert responsible for accelerating technical wins and adoption of complex, specialized and highly regulated workloads. You will leverage your deep expertise in our most strategic product areas, in partnership with Platform CEs, Product and Engineering, to develop prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and demos to sell new, highly specialized solutions to customers. You will solve security-centered customer challenges, architecting solutions that meet strict regulatory frameworks, and provide a critical feedback loop to influence customers and product development.

You will have excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, engaging with customers to understand their business, regulatory and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will blend sales expertise, market knowledge and technical engagement to prove the value of the Google Cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical security and compliance blockers.
  • Share in-depth expertise in security, privacy and regulatory compliance to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Contribute to programs in areas of security, privacy, and compliance with internal teams, e.g., Marketing, Product, Legal, and Policy. Drive enablement internally to create customer best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
