Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The applications engineer in this position will be a key growth enabler for the Broadband Plasma Division (BBP). BBP provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.

Job Responsibilities
  • The candidate is required to develop an in-depth expertise in product operation, applications, and customer processes.
  • Collaborate with critical customers to ensure KLA products are adopted and applied to their unique problems.
  • Support for pre-sale activities that include product demos, product presentations, development of technical papers, and support at trade shows.
  • Support for post-sale activities that include customer training, customer support, understanding customer processes, and development of new use cases.
  • Support for internal customers such as service, engineering, and operations.


Qualifications
  • Master's Level Degree OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or related field.
  • A background in IC processing OR Semiconductor equipment is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform complex data/image analysis using data-analysis tools.
  • Teamwork is critical so having a good balance between technical skills and people skills is a must.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be required to frequently present results to internal as well as external customers.

Base Pay Range: $83,100.00 - $141,300.00 Annually
