Responsibilities

Howmet Engine Systems is currently seeking a seasoned working level Customer Account Manager for our Rolls-Royce Aerospace Customer account. Subject to the candidates experience base and development goals, the successful applicant would be responsible for specific portions of the forging, casting, coating, and machining business with Rolls Royce.

Position can be onsite at any US Engines location, will also consider remote.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a commercial, technical &/or engineering background in addition to a focused ability to follow contracts, manage the overall account and build relationships internally and with the Customer. In coordination with manufacturing operations, this role may cover all Howmet Engines capabilities, but subject to the candidate's experience may have a particular focus on forging or casting product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities for the allocated portfolio. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
• Serve as the key primary working level customer interface for the Rolls-Royce aerospace account.
• Develop strong, trusting and collaborative relationships with key customer contacts.
• Understand the customer's organization, products and markets including related priorities, issues and opportunities to best position Howmet to serve customer needs.
• Identify and prioritize customer business growth opportunities, leveraging key Howmet products, capacity and technical capabilities.
• Develop and execute customer account plans to drive consistent commercial strategies, monitor effectiveness and improve overall business health.
• RFQ coordination with Howmet sites including alignment of Howmet capabilities with specific customer needs and compliance with Howmet's governance process.
• Business review preparation/oversight including financial analysis, internal presentation, quote preparation and approvals, submittal and customer follow up.
• Open items tracking/resolution with Howmet sites to satisfy customer requirements and provide effective dispute mediation.
• Customer scorecard analysis including quality and delivery performance correlation and communication.
• Oversee concurrent engineering and coordinate joint customer activities.
• Customer contract/terms and conditions understanding, development and maintenance including price and portfolio management, alloy elemental management activities, economic indices tracking and other key business items for contract compliance.
• Strong, collaborative approach supporting the annual Budget/Long Range Plan process with the sites and customer.
• Customer meeting coordination and related preparation assistance with Howmet sites.
• Customer on time pay performance monitoring with assistance provided as required in coordination with Howmet sites and Credit organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of 7 years sales &/or technical related experience, with 3 years of aerospace industry.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Ability to travel 20% to 50% of the time domestically or internationally as required.

Preferred Skills
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business or Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with forgings, investment castings, coatings or in the machining of metal components.
• Exceptional written/oral communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and interact and communicate with all organization levels.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective customer relationships.
• Understanding of terms and conditions documents and commercial agreements.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related computer skills.
