The Curriculum Editor will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, editing, and analyzing content across the organization to support Springboard Collaborative programming. A successful candidate will have strong editorial experience, top-notch written and verbal communication skills, high accountability and dependability, and impeccable attention to detail. This is a remote position, and candidates must reside in the U.S.
The Curriculum Editor will report to the Assistant Vice President, Curriculum & Instruction, and work as part of the Product & Services department. This is a great opportunity to support an entrepreneurial team to maximize the impact of a rapidly growing organization.

Here are your priorities in the first year:- Resolve at least 90% of editorial review requests on time and to the requester's satisfaction, ensuring all materials meet editorial, accessibility, and quality standards prior to publication.
- Complete editorial work from backlog through final review, delivering assigned work that meets quality expectations, design specifications, and agreed-upon timelines.
- Strengthen organizational editorial and accessibility practices by facilitating one digital accessibility enablement session per quarter and maintaining current editorial and accessibility guidance for cross-functional teams.
Here are your responsibilities within and beyond the first year:You ensure the overall editorial quality of organization-wide digital and printed materials, providing editorial support across enterprise materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards.- Edit materials for grammar, punctuation, and adherence to editorial style
- Analyze materials (print and digital) for clearness of expression, logical flaws, repetitiveness, and uniformity of design
- Prepare training manuals, guides, and other support materials for conferences and events.
You maintain a unified style guide for all digital and printed content and serve as an org-wide shared service for editorial support- Maintain style and format guides for various editing projects across various media (print and digital) and collateral types.
- Ensure that internal partners are trained in, and adhere to, style expectations.
- Advise internal staff on questions regarding editorial style expectations.
You collaborate with other individuals and teams to develop high-quality materials.- Consult and collaborate with partners to ensure use cases and expectations are well understood.
- Apply the appropriate level of editorial review-from developmental and substantive editing to copy editing and proofreading-based on the purpose, audience, and stage of development.
- Maintain editorial workflows and systems to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality editorial support across the organization.
You ensure curricular materials are instructionally sound, accurate, and aligned.- Apply your content expertise to edit and refine K-5 literacy and math instructional materials, ensuring standards alignment, instructional soundness, and coherence across related assets.
- Conduct research as needed to ensure technical quality and accuracy of materials.
- Work with internal and external subject-matter experts to ensure materials are accurate.

- You have 2+ years of experience editing or working with K-12 educational curricula.
- You have experience creating and/or maintaining style guides.
- You have experience managing editorial workflows and internal processes.
Here are our nice-to-haves for the right candidate:- You have expertise in the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.
- You have experience as an elementary classroom teacher.

Compensation for this role: Each role at Springboard is placed in a compensation band with 5 levels. Generally, we expect candidates who meet all the hiring criteria to be offered the midpoint of the band. This role sits within
Band 3. The midpoint of this band is
$87,188. The actual level of the successful candidate (and corresponding salary) will be based on compensable factors such as
job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, and
demonstrated competencies. You may also be eligible for Springboard's bonus program.

Springboard does not negotiate the offered salary during the offer conversation. Throughout the interview process, we will evaluate your alignment with the compensable factors listed in the job description. From there, we will determine your starting salary on a level within the job band.
