Position Title: DIR, DINING SERVICES -Concordia Seminary - Saint Louis, MO

Pay Grade: 12

Reports To:

Salary: $90,000-95,000

Other Forms of Compensation: $5,000 relocation

Job Summary

FRESH IDEAS is hiring an energetic and growth-minded DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES on the campus of CONCORDIA SEMINARY in the beautiful suburb of CLAYTON, MO. In this operations role, you will manage and lead a team of employees and you will be responsible for managing the food service account, client relationships, and talent development.

Living in Clayton, Missouri, offers a sophisticated "urban-suburban" blend, serving as both a major regional business hub and a premier residential community. It is widely considered one of the most desirable places to live in the St. Louis area and consistently ranks as one of the safest communities in Missouri. Shaw Park is the city's centerpiece, featuring an aquatic center, an outdoor ice rink, and extensive trails. Clayton is widely recognized as one of the premier culinary destinations in the St. Louis region. The food scene is generally characterized by an upscale, sophisticated, and professional atmosphere that mirrors its status as a major business hub, yet it maintains pockets of neighborhood charm. There is a strong emphasis on European-inspired cuisine, with a vast selection of traditional and modern Italian, French, and Mediterranean options. You will also find diverse global flavors including Spanish tapas, contemporary Asian fusion, and specialized sushi bars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client
  • Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food for the students
  • Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary teams
  • Acts as a liaison between the Company, Client, and the community

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Hospitality degree preferred
  • Three to five years of foodservice management experience required
  • Dining experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
