POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, safety, and profitability of aggregate operations within an assigned region. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational management with commercial development. The successful candidate will oversee the establishment and ongoing operation of aggregate production sites, develop and grow the regional customer base, build and lead a high-performing team, and ensure full compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

This position is well suited to a results-oriented leader with a balanced background in aggregate operations and sales who is capable of managing a site or region as a standalone business unit. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the growth of the Company's regional presence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

  • Oversee the development, commissioning, and day-to-day operation of aggregate production sites, including site infrastructure, plant setup, and material production.
  • Manage mine planning, inventory and stockpile management, loading and dispatch, and delivery coordination to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and manage site performance against budget, production, and margin targets.
  • Coordinate site utilities, equipment, and services required to establish and maintain production.


Commercial & Business Development

  • Develop and grow the regional customer base through relationship building, market development, and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotes, pricing, and supply terms in coordination with Company sales leadership.
  • Identify and evaluate new business and site opportunities that support regional growth.
  • Represent the Company professionally with customers, landowners, vendors, and the local community.


Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with MSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure product quality and conformance to applicable specifications and standards.
  • Manage environmental, permitting, dust, blasting, and reclamation obligations in coordination with Company resources and regulatory authorities.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, and lead site personnel, including administrative and scale-house staff, equipment operators, and general operations employees, scaling the team to meet demand.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and accountability to build a high-performing, safety-focused team.
  • Foster the Company's core values across all operations and personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in both office and active quarry/production environments. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in variable weather, traverse uneven terrain, and be present at active operating sites. Regional travel by vehicle is required. Adherence to all site safety requirements, including personal protective equipment, is mandatory.
