Description

J.F. Taylor is seeking a motivated and experienced Certified TEMPEST Professional (CTP-II) to support secure communications and compromising emanations control in Great Mills, MD. The ideal candidate will manage, plan, and execute TEMPEST testing, author compliance documentation, and ensure hardware designs comply with national EMSEC and NSTISSAM/CNSS standards.

The position requires a combination of technical and task management skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, actively participating in technical reviews, teleconferences, and program meetings under the direction of Program Management.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Execution: Prepare and execute TEMPEST test plans and procedures in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02.

Develop, review, and interpret verification and validation requirements for systems, models, and simulations in coordination with customers, engineers, and operational stakeholders.

Participate in formal and informal test activities, including requirements verification, functional testing, regression testing, performance assessments, and operational evaluations using available labs, simulators, and test environments.

Analyze test data, generate verification reports, document findings, and support resolution of identified deficiencies through engineering teams and program leadership.

Documentation: Author classified TEMPEST test reports, control plans, and Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) integration reports.

Compliance & Design Review: Evaluate engineering change proposals (ECPs), waivers, and deviations for TEMPEST impact. Support hardware design reviews at the subsystem and system levels.

Program Support: Maintain documentation required to support company certification under the Certified TEMPEST Test Services Program (CTTSP) or Manufacturing Program. Provide technical briefings, demonstrations, and presentations of V&V results to customers, stakeholders, leadership, and industry partners.

Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentor junior TEMPEST trainees toward their CTP certifications.

Position Requirements

Certification: Active Certified TEMPEST Professional (CTP Level II) certification.

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in TEMPEST testing, electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC), or RF security.

Technical Knowledge: Strong background in electronics, electromagnetic theory, and specialized measurement tools (oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers).

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility security clearance.

Salary Range
150K-200K and will be commensurate with experience
