Job Title: CT Technologist - Night ShiftLocation: Grants Pass, Oregon
Pay: $31.61-$57.22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Ten-hour night shifts | Weekends required
Employment Type: Permanent, Direct-Hire Position
Relocation Assistance: Eligible; amount determined at the time of offer
Call Requirement: None

Shift Differentials

Eligible employees may earn additional compensation for qualifying hours:
  • Evening hours: Additional $2.02 per hour between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • Night hours: Additional $4.50 per hour between 11:01 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend hours: Additional $1.87 per hour

Position Summary

A hospital-based imaging department in Grants Pass, Oregon, is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent night-shift position. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic examinations for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients.

This position requires a dependable and self-sufficient technologist who can work independently when needed, start IVs, manage multiple priorities, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinically comprehensive CT examinations that meet patient-care and diagnostic-quality standards.
  • Complete routine and advanced imaging procedures for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients.
  • Perform CT examinations with and without contrast.
  • Complete CT imaging of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and extremities, including runoff studies.
  • Assist with CT-guided procedures.
  • Start IVs and administer contrast according to established protocols and scope of practice.
  • Explain examinations to patients and, when appropriate, their family members or support persons.
  • Answer questions and help reduce anxiety associated with CT procedures and equipment.
  • Position patients accurately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Apply radiation-safety best practices, including appropriate shielding when necessary.
  • Work independently during portions of the assigned shift.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
  • Follow departmental safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance standards.

Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of CT Technologist experience.
  • Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography - ARRT(CT).
  • Current Basic Life Support certification - BLS.
  • Active or eligible Oregon Board of Medical Imaging licensure.
  • Ability to start IVs independently.
  • Ability to work ten-hour night shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Ability to work alone when departmental coverage requires it.
  • Strong patient-care, communication, and image-quality skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography - ARRT(R)(CT).
  • Experience performing contrast and non-contrast CT examinations.
  • Experience with CT-guided procedures.
  • Experience supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department populations.
  • Experience using GE CT equipment and post-processing technology.
  • Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Strong critical-thinking and time-management skills.

Equipment and Technology

The department uses:
  • GE LightSpeed CT equipment
  • GE AW Server for image reconstruction and post-processing
  • Epic electronic medical records
  • OnePACS for after-hours teleradiology services

Department Information
  • Approximately 125-bed hospital
  • Two CT scanners
  • Hospital-based imaging department
  • No call requirement
  • Weekends are required
  • The technologist may work independently at times

Orientation and Training

New employees receive approximately one to two weeks of direct supervision and department-specific training from experienced staff.
