Title: CT Technologist

Location: Orange Coast Medical Center

Department: CAT Scan

Status: Full Time

Shift: Nights (12hr)

Pay Range*: $49.00/hr - $72.00/hr

$5,000.00 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the CT Technologist is competent to perform all routine CT, X-ray exams; and Three D reconstructions as applicable within the scope of the CT Imaging Services Department. Under general supervision, is competent to perform routine CT, X-ray procedures as assigned, excluding Special Procedures, prepare image recovery and applicable storage for reproduction.

  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient information to the radiologist.
  • Evaluates the demands of Physicians, patients, staff and superiors.
  • Effectively identifies and implements performance improvement techniques.
  • Operates systems to appropriate potential for production of quality images.
  • Delivers quality customer service.
  • Ability to be at work and be on time.
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.


*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • One - two years of experience performing routine CT and X-ray procedures on the geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonate patient populations.
  • At least one year of full-time experience at Orange Coast Medical Center as a Radiological Technologist with a performance which consistently meets the standards in all performance categories, no written reprimands in the previous 12 months or verbal reprimands in previous 6 months, and completion of all competency/skills assessments related to CT and X-ray procedures preferred.


Education/Licensure/Certification

  • CRT, Diagnostic and Fluoroscopy required
  • CT Certification preferred
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card required
  • ARRT Certification preferred
  • IV Certification preferred
