Description:
This position involves working with both CT and X-ray patients.
Typical studies performed include code strokes, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and 3D reconstruction.
Some pediatric cases may present through urgent care.
No cardiac CT procedures or fluoroscopy will be performed during this shift.
The department has a total of three X-ray machines, two X-ray rooms, and one portable machine.
Only two staff members will be present during the night shift, working collaboratively.
Each technologist is expected to perform approximately 30 scans per shift.
The department utilizes McKesson for PACS and Epic for charting.
Siemens equipment is used for both CT and X-ray.
Remote radiologists are available for image interpretation.
Daily communication will rely on a phone system with providers.
Technologists must be comfortable starting IVs as this is a required skill.
Weekend and holiday work is mandatory, with a rotational on-call schedule.
The dress code includes standard OR blue scrubs, provided by the facility.
This position requires working multiple areas during the same shift, contributing to efficient patient care.
