What You'll DoThe CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety, quality care, and a positive patient experience. This role works directly with patients, physicians, and the care team to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.
- Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, address concerns, and provide appropriate patient education.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Participate in Performance Improvement, Continuous Quality Improvement, Patient Satisfaction, Radiation Safety, and related department initiatives.
- Support radio-logical patient and physician education and participate in committees, meetings, and other duties as assigned.
- Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a skilled CT Technologist who provides safe, accurate, and compassionate imaging services while maintaining high standards of patient care and quality. They should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and communicate professionally with patients and the care team.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT (CT) certification required.
- Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology and/or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences from an approved program preferred.
- One year of professional radiology experience in a hospital or patient care setting preferred.
- Must obtain an American Heart Association-approved BLS certification within three months of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety, medical imaging equipment, patient care, and applicable policies and procedures, with the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and the public.
