Clinic II Director

What You'll Do

You'll provide strategic and operational leadership for at least five distinct specialties in an assigned clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care, efficient operations, and a positive experience for both patients and employees. You'll lead clinic staff, drive operational performance, and collaborate with organizational leaders to achieve department and district goals.
  • Lead daily clinic operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and regulatory compliance.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate team members while supporting professional growth and accountability.
  • Manage clinic budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure resources are used effectively to meet operational goals.
  • Establish, track, and evaluate annual clinic goals, quality metrics, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee and patient concerns promptly, professionally, and confidentially.
  • Ensure staff receive ongoing education and maintain competency with clinical systems, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Partner with physicians, department leaders, Human Resources, and executive leadership to support employee relations, performance management, and organizational initiatives.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce management to ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
  • Lead staff meetings, service huddles, and change management efforts to support communication, engagement, and organizational priorities.
  • Represent the clinic and Grand River Hospital District through leadership meetings, committees, community outreach, and special projects that support district-wide success.
  • Preform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with patients, providers, staff, and community partners.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing clinical, administrative, and electronic medical record systems to support efficient clinic operations.
