Vulnerability Researcher & Cloud Software Engineer to push the boundaries of offensive and defensive security engineering. In this specialized role, you will perform deep-dive reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and custom software development across complex systems and modern cloud architectures. Leveraging low-level programming alongside cloud-native platforms, you will analyze system internals, uncover novel vulnerabilities, and architect scalable, cloud-hosted capabilities. Working closely with operational teams, you will support critical cyber mission threads while developing innovative tooling that keeps our national defense capabilities miles ahead of adversary threats.
The annual base salary range for this role is $154,000-$182,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- Software Engineering & Low-Level Development: Advanced proficiency in low-level languages (e.g., C, C++) alongside modern systems/scripting languages (Python, Go) for high-performance software development.
- Reverse Engineering: Proven expertise disassembling, decompiling, and analyzing compiled binaries and system internals using industry tools (Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Radare2).
- Vulnerability Research: Deep understanding of memory corruption vulnerabilities, exploit primitives, mitigation bypasses, and root-cause analysis across operating system kernels and applications.
- Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure: Practical experience architecting, containerizing, or assessing cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes).
- Cyber Operations Domain Knowledge: Solid comprehension of offensive cyber concepts, target architecture analysis, and secure payload development.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS
8+ years of professional experience in cyber operations, network analysis, or data engineering OR
Associate's Degree PLUS
10+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsCapabilities & Tooling: Direct familiarity with frameworks, tradecraft, and operational deployment support.
Kernel & Embedded Systems Analysis: Experience analyzing Linux/Windows kernels, driver architecture, or firmware environments.
Automated Program Analysis: Familiarity with symbolic execution, dynamic binary instrumentation (e.g., Frida, DynamoRIO), or fuzzing frameworks (AFL++, LibFuzzer).
