Job DescriptionACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIREDAs a Data Analytics Software Engineer on Team Nyla, you will bring your technical creativity and collaborative energy to build, maintain, and scale complex data analytics pipelines. Working alongside a team of brilliant, ever-curious engineers, you will take on big-data challenges-evaluating, enriching, and processing high-value datasets using modern languages and specialized frameworks. From writing high-performance C++ and Python to leveraging Spark and developing XKS fingerprints and microplugins, your work will directly empower real-time mission decisions. The annual base salary range for this role is $160,000-$190,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- Data Engineering & Analytics: Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and scaling data analytics pipelines, including data evaluation, enrichment, and processing for complex datasets.
- Core Software Development: Proficiency in Python and C++ for building data processing modules and high-performance capabilities.
- Big Data Frameworks: Hands-on experience using Apache Spark (or similar distributed processing engines) to manipulate large data volumes efficiently.
- Specialized Capability Development: Practical experience working with XKS, including the development and deployment of fingerprints (FPs) and microplugins (MPs).
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS
10+ years of professional experience in cyber operations, network analysis, or data engineering OR
High School Diploma / GED, PLUS
14+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsExperience with streaming data architectures, ETL optimization, and automated data validation tools.
Low-level network protocol analysis or packet processing background.
Active involvement in continuous learning, prototype development, or emerging tech exploration.
Outstanding communication skills with a team-first, collaborative mindset.
