Job DescriptionMcLeod Health Loris is seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our collaborative and patient-focused anesthesia team!This role reports to the Director of Anesthesia and the Medical Director of the Operating Room and works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality care across the surgical continuum.
-Location: McLeod Health Loris - Loris, SC
-Schedule: Full-Time (80 hours biweekly)
Position Highlights:
- Provide general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for scheduled, urgent, and emergent procedures
- Deliver full continuum of care, from pre-operative assessment through post-operative follow-up

Call Schedule:
- 1 day per week & 1 weekend per month
Case Mix:
- Urology
- OB
- DAC
- Endoscopy
- General Surgery
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations, including patient history and anesthesia planning
- Educate patients on anesthesia care plans and expectations
- Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia using current techniques, medications, and technology
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage patient care during surgery and ensure safe transition to PACU or appropriate unit
- Respond to airway and life-support emergencies throughout the Medical Center
- Supervise anesthesia technicians and support staff as needed
- Participate in maintaining 24/7 anesthesia coverage through shared responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to Service Excellence Standards
Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
-Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program (COA/AANA approved)
-Certified (or eligible) through the NBCRNA
-Eligible for or holds South Carolina RN license and CRNA recognition
-Meets requirements for ongoing recertification
