We are seeking a CRM Platform Tech Lead to own the technical strategy, architecture, development, and roadmap for our Salesforce instance. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, leading a team of consultants and developers, partnering closely with business stakeholders across the organization, and ensuring Salesforce evolves in a way that's scalable, well-architected, and aligned with company priorities. You will report to the Director of Enterprise Systems and work out of the office from our Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ location. Onsite or Hybrid candidates are preferred however remote candidates will also be considered, with travel to office expected every 1 or 2 months, depending on business need. This will be discussed further during the recruiting process.
What You'll Do
- Technical Ownership: Serve as the technical owner of our Salesforce instance, including architecture, configuration, customizations, integrations, and data model, ensuring the platform is scalable, performant, and built on sound technical foundations.
- Development Leadership: Lead Salesforce development initiatives from planning through delivery, setting technical direction and best practices for how work gets built, tested, and released.
- Team Management: Manage a team of Salesforce consultants and developers, assigning work, reviewing solutions for quality and architectural soundness, and holding the team accountable to delivery timelines and standards.
- Roadmap & Prioritization: Partner with business stakeholders to gather and evaluate requirements, then build and maintain a Salesforce roadmap that reflects company priorities, balances quick wins against long-term platform health, and is clearly communicated to leadership.
- Business Partnership: Act as the primary technical liaison to business partners, translating business needs into scoped, buildable solutions, and pushing back when a request isn't the right long-term answer, even when that means having a harder conversation.
- Governance & Accountability: Establish and enforce standards around change management, release processes, and technical debt, holding both the internal team and business stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and decisions.
- Vendor & Consultant Management: Oversee relationships with any external Salesforce implementation partners or consultants, managing scope, quality, and cost of delivered work.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with adjacent enterprise systems teams (ERP, IT, Data) to ensure Salesforce integrations and data flows are consistent, reliable, and well-governed.
