This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.
The Critical Utilities Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading a team in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will coordinate maintenance work, review engineering specifications, and participate in equipment installation. Strong supervisory skills, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail are essential
Specifics Include:
- Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes in maintenance programs
- Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work, including reviewing mechanical and electrical engineering specifications
- Perform engineering reviews of proposed new equipment designs for reliability and maintenance
- Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, safety inspections, and equipment supply with schedules
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, and enhancing employee engagement and recognition
- Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members, managing task assignments and workflow
- Ensure adherence to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation
- Contribute to overall compliance and continuous improvement of the organization
- Lead project execution, ensuring scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables are completed safely and on time.
- Plan and coordinate site shutdown activities, aligning maintenance scope, contractor support, and production requirements.
- Develop and manage FSM schedules, balancing preventive maintenance, compliance requirements, and operational priorities.
What You'll Bring to Alcon- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00am-4:00pm (Monday - Friday)
- Work Location: Onsite - Fort Worth, TX (North Mfg.)
- Travel Requirements: 10%
