Department Overview

The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $425,000-$527,988; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.

Function/Duties of Position

Clinical: This position serves primarily as a Critical Care Cardiologist, with inpatient duties that include medical management of patients with chronic or acute heart disease, managing critically ill patients with primary cardiac disorders, and performing cardiovascular procedures as an attending physician in the inpatient cardiology services areas (CVICU, CCU and consult service). In addition to inpatient service, to help improve patient access to cardiovascular care, this position will also have a limited ambulatory clinic in the general cardiology practice as well as supporting non-invasive cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography) services.

Education: OHSU is a teaching institution and as a faculty member, you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to students, residents, fellows and staff. The Graduate Program Director will provide any official assignments.

Research: There may be options for you to explore research opportunities in your area of focus. Administrative support is available for grant submission, financial management and clinical trials support. Please share your research interests during the interview process.

Administration: Administrative duties may be assigned to you in support of Institute or section initiatives, faculty development and/or other activities as determined necessary.
