Overview:

Pherson is seeking a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to join an embedded team supporting the Federal Protective Services.

Job Title: Intelligence Analyst Level II

Location: Springfield, VA

Operating Hours and Expectations: This position anticipates onsite work with standard work hours, Monday-Friday

Security Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance Required

Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide intelligence services related to the analysis, processing, development, and distribution of strategic and criminal intelligence supporting Federal Protective Services operations,


The Successful Candidate will Possess:

Required Education & Certification(s):
  • Associate degree - 4 yrs of Experience as an intelligence analyst
  • Bachelor's Degree - 2 yrs of experience as an intelligence analyst
  • Master's degree - 0 yrs of experience required.


Required Experience & Skills:
  • Ability to perform strategic, operational, and tactical analysis as required based on raw intelligence collected from a variety of sources
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to and apply IC analytic tradecraft standards (e.g. ICDS 203, 206, 208...) .
  • Working knowledge of databases and software programs used in the intelligence environment, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, M3, TAC, HOTR, Google Earth, Intelink, National Exploitation System, Gemini, MIDB, GCCS-J, various message handling systems.
  • Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate factual information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, often under pressure and tight deadlines that meets or exceeds established analytical standards.


Desired Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred in International Studies, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or other related concentration.
  • Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (or higher DIE Certification) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire (https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/IFPC/)
  • Prior experience performing Open-Source Collection.
  • Criminal Intelligence analysis experience.
  • Experience working with DHS data sources.
  • Knowledge of the DHS FPS intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and the role of FPS in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise; overall FPS intelligence research, analysis, and production process.
  • Specific knowledge of Title 18 authorities.
  • Knowledge of multiple open-source areas including surface, deep, and dark web.
  • Knowledge of multiple collection techniques or approaches.
  • Knowledge of developing a collection plan and dissemination practices.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, common Open-Source tools, and DHS data systems.
  • Experience working researching and providing evaluations for Intelligence Information Reports (IIR).
