Job DescriptionCredit Risk is looking for a highly-motivated individual to join our team in an influential role to help strengthen the governance framework and enhance the credit risk policies and procedures. This individual will be in a high impact position to improve overall credit governance, policies and regulatory interaction.
QualificationsPotential candidate should have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:- 10 -15 years of direct credit risk experience at a financial institution developing and overseeing credit risk policies and procedures
- Candidate will also be involved in assisting to set standards for portfolio management reporting and control best practices
- Experience with end-to-end credit lifecycle management and credit risk governance requirements
- Experience with Commercial banking and Commercial Real Estate credits and risk characteristics
- Team player with the ability to own assigned governance deliverables and complete within designated timeframes often with competing priorities
- Can do attitude and ability to manage distractions effectively toward achieving team objectives
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business, Economics or a quantitative field.
- Strong writing and presentation skills are a must to articulate requirements and changes to senior stakeholders and achieve consensus for execution
Other preferred credentials include:- Effective liaison and negotiator with other functional areas of the bank including lines of business, Middle Office, Compliance and Technology to complete deliverables as needed
- Solid understanding of contemporary credit risk and portfolio management approaches, models and tools (Moody's credit risk models, risk rating frameworks, etc.)
- Proactive approach to help improve overall credit processes and procedures and support team members and the Chief Credit Risk Officer
CompensationThe expected annual salary for this position is between $170,000 and $200,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual's skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
