As the Creative Director, you will own and oversee all aspects of Goodwin's global creative function. You'll develop a deep understanding of the firm's brand, and work to elevate and evolve it on a consistent, ongoing basis. You'll build and lead a best-in-class team to deliver compelling, differentiated, and high-impact creative solutions that elevate Goodwin's brand and support its strategic priorities.

What You Will Do:

Creative and Brand Strategy

  • Define and lead the firm's global creative vision, ensuring alignment with brand and marketing strategy and business objectives


  • Develop a deep understanding of the Goodwin brand and continuously elevate and evolve its expression across all channels


  • Translate marketing goals into clear, compelling, and novel creative solutions


  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and prioritize creative initiatives that support key firm priorities


  • Own and maintain the firm's brand guidelines for visual identity and voice and tone; continuously refine and evolve them to ensure they remain modern, differentiated, and impactful


Creative Execution

  • Oversee all creative design and copywriting projects and initiatives end-to-end from ideation through execution, with a relentless focus on the details that distinguish final outputs from "good enough" to exceptional


  • Ensure consistency in visual identity, voice, and tone across all channels and formats spanning digital, print, motion/video, and experiential


  • Lead team in developing memorable branded solutions for priority marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives; collaborate closely with other Marketing & Communications and stakeholder teams to ensure objectives are met


  • Oversee and manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and offshore production resources to ensure quality, efficiency, and excellence in execution


Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team across creative disciplines


  • Build, expand, and optimize team capabilities and structure to support the growing scope of the Marketing team and broader department


  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement


  • Ensure effective resourcing and workload management across creative projects and priorities


Operations and Process

  • Optimize creative workflows, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and scalability in close collaboration with team members in other Marketing functions including Marketing Strategy, Operations, and Technology


  • Introduce new formats, storytelling approaches, and technologies to enhance

  • Encourage experimentation and the adoption of new creative techniques, tools, and trends

  • 12+ years of proven work experience in creative roles, with 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing integrated creative functions including design and copywriting


  • Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field, or equivalent experience


  • Experience building and scaling a creative team


  • In-house/brand-side and professional services experience preferred


  • Experience working within a workflow management tool; Workfront knowledge a plus


  • A portfolio will be requested and is required as part of the application process


  • Occasional travel to other offices and site visits

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $180,000.00 - $235,000.00
