Summary

Duties

Help

  • You will serve as the Chief of Staff in the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program Office supporting Navy's hypersonic capability.
  • You will exercise delegated authority over a highly technical, workforce.
  • You will coordinate and unify a staff of supervisors who oversee advanced interdisciplinary engineers, senior program analysts and program managers.
  • You will exercise authoritative persuasion to resolve critical disputes over resources and scheduling among competing national defense programs, ensuring the CPS hypersonic mission maintains absolute priority.
  • You will ensure all interdisciplinary efforts (engineering, science, intelligence, finance, and security) are seamlessly integrated to meet aggressive, Congressionally mandated fielding timelines.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a large senior/diverse team of both military and civilian employees by managing decisions, strategy and organizational effectiveness to meet mission objectives and absolute priority.

This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
