The work: Lead commercial and revenue transformation- Lead end-to-end Pricing, CPQ, Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Cash, Revenue Lifecycle Management, and Sales Transformation programs.
- Partner with senior leaders across Sales, Pricing, Finance, Product, Operations, Legal, Customer Service, and IT to set the transformation agenda.
- Facilitate executive workshops, frame strategic choices, resolve cross-functional issues, and translate ambition into sequenced roadmaps.
Shape pricing strategy and commercial excellence- Design pricing strategies, monetization models, price architecture, segmentation, discount frameworks, pricing guardrails, approval policies, and value-based pricing approaches.
- Assess margin leakage and commercial performance, identify improvement opportunities, and embed pricing discipline into frontline execution.
- Design or strengthen Pricing Centers of Excellence, including governance, roles, decision rights, processes, analytics, and performance management.
Define future-state CPQ capabilities- Design guided selling, product and service configuration, costing, pricing, approvals, quote and proposal generation, commercial commitments, change orders, renewals, and downstream handoffs.
- Create scalable global process blueprints while accommodating justified business-unit, geographic, product, channel, and customer differences.
- Translate business strategy into capability requirements, prioritized backlogs, acceptance criteria, release plans, and adoption outcomes.
Connect the revenue technology ecosystem- Define target-state architectures and integration principles across CRM, CPQ, pricing engines, CLM, ERP, order management, billing, invoicing, and analytics.
- Lead platform and vendor evaluations, solution option assessments, implementation strategies, and architecture trade-off decisions.
- Work with business and technical leaders to ensure technology choices support reusable processes, trusted data, auditable controls, and enterprise scale.
Build the case for change- Develop executive-level business cases that quantify revenue growth, margin improvement, seller productivity, quote quality, cycle-time reduction, discount leakage reduction, compliance improvement, and cash-flow impact.
- Define baselines, benefit hypotheses, KPI frameworks, investment requirements, payback expectations, and value-realization governance.
- Convert complex findings into clear decision materials for executive sponsors, steering committees, and investment boards.
Lead delivery, adoption, and value realization- Lead assessments, strategy engagements, pilots, MVPs, global rollouts, and enterprise implementations.
- Mobilize and direct multidisciplinary teams across strategy, process, product, architecture, data, integration, change, testing, and program management.
- Own executive governance, delivery quality, risks, dependencies, business readiness, training, adoption, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
Grow clients, teams, and market capabilities- Shape pursuits, proposals, RFP responses, solution narratives, delivery plans, staffing models, assumptions, and commercial constructs.
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior functional leaders and serve as a credible advisor on profitable growth and commercial modernization.
- Mentor practitioners, develop reusable assets and thought leadership, strengthen ecosystem partnerships, and contribute to practice growth.
Basic Qualifications:- 12+ years' experience in consulting, commercial transformation, pricing, sales operations, revenue operations, product management, enterprise platforms, or a related field. Experience should include:
- Demonstrated experience leading CPQ, pricing, Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Cash, or broader revenue transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of product or service configuration, pricing, costing, discounting, approvals, quoting, proposal generation, contracting handoffs, change orders, and renewals.
- Experience translating executive objectives into operating models, process blueprints, business requirements, solution roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology organizations.
- Experience developing business cases, value hypotheses, executive presentations, proposals, and transformation plans.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud or CPQ, Conga, SAP CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or comparable enterprise revenue platforms.
- Experience with pricing technologies such as PROS, Vendavo, Pricefx, or Zilliant, and with CLM, ERP, billing, or order-management platforms.
- Knowledge of value-based pricing, price optimization, pricing analytics, commercial finance, SaaS or subscription monetization, usage-based models, and complex deal economics.
- Experience in industrial products, manufacturing, automotive, chemicals, life sciences, medical devices, distribution, logistics, high tech, or other complex B2B environments.
- Experience leading change networks, role redesign, training, adoption, governance, and value-realization programs.
- Advanced business, technical, analytics, or engineering degree.
