Responsibilities

  • Interact with intelligence community representatives to deconflict CI activities
  • Serve as a liaison within the CYBERCOM Joint Operations Center
  • Create concepts for Command counterintelligence programs for SECDEF review
  • Deliver counterintelligence briefings to personnel engaging with foreign services

Job Name: Counterintelligence Specialist

ROLE: As a Counterintelligence Specialist you identify, monitor, and assesses foreign intelligence efforts attempting collection of sensitive national security information on U.S. persons, activities and interests. At CRC, you'll get the opportunity to be creative, to try, to fail, to learn, and to succeed while you support our USCYBERCOM customer at Fort Meade, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify, monitor, and assess foreign intelligence efforts attempting collection of sensitive national security information on U.S. persons, activities, and interests, including threats posed by emerging technologies to U.S. operations and interests
  • Apply understanding of foreign intelligence capabilities / activities and U.S. and foreign partner CI capabilities and TTPs for indepth analytic research and production of all-source CI studies and contributes to developing CI strategies
  • Conduct, develop, produce, and present programs of instruction in specified collection operations TTPs, and related or supporting processes, relevant to the various human intelligence and technical intelligence operations under DoD authorities
  • Perform coordination/deconfliction of CI operational activity conducted by the Military Department CI Organizations (MDCO) that impact the Command's area of responsibility
  • Interact with representatives of MDCOs and Intelligence Community Components to deconflict CI activity
  • Serve as a J2X representative to the CYBERCOM Joint Operations Center (JOC) providing an avenue for the JOC to inject information into the J2X or request support as necessary
  • Maintain familiarity with MDCO capabilities and steer JOC personnel toward the J2X for support as appropriate
  • Develop a concept for Command counterintelligence programs that will be staffed to the SECDEF
  • Develop counterintelligence briefs for personnel in the Command that are interacting with foreign intelligence services/officers and or traveling to high-threat CI countries as well as delivering the briefs in both group and individual settings, including to General/Flag Officer audiences

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE: A current & active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI poly.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Master's Degree and 12+ years of experience
      • OR Bachelor's degree and 17+ years of experience
  • EXPERIENCE
    • 12 years' experience supporting the DoD or IC as a counter intelligence specialist or intelligence analyst
    • Active Top Secret SCI clearance with a willingness to take CI Poly
    • Possesses either a certificate of completion /or verified work experience/course work equivalent to the skills defined under Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis or as a Military Service equivalent

COMPENSATION

Base salaries at CRC are determined by various factors, including work location, an individual's education, knowledge, skills, experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $105,000 to $130,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of CRC's total compensation package.
