Job Description:

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as an Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst at GDIT. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a CI Analyst you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by providing "day-to-day" multi-discipline analysis. CI Analyst responsibilities will cover Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

HOW AN INTELLIGENCE ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate Air Force (AF) security and viability/effectiveness of highly sensitive and often highly classified programs and plans supporting sensitive activities and special access programs (SAPs) within the AF and DoD.
  • Provide prompt review and coordination of unique and highly classified proposals requiring a vast knowledge of AF, DoD, Federal and non-federal organizations, tactics, policies, and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, dealing with sensitive intelligence collection programs and other sensitive activities primarily supporting the AF, but also DoD in general.
  • Research, analyze, review, and provide meaningful recommendation, including written products, when appropriate, to senior leadership regarding security, counterintelligence, and signature reduction issues.
  • Identify, assess, and provide recommendations for potential security vulnerabilities; review all pertinent security directives, regulations and instructions to ensure compliance; prepare future threat analysis assessments.
  • Provide prompt and responsive customer support and subject matter expertise as required to ensure the accomplishment of the mission/task.
  • Ensure that detailed coordination for sensitive activities and SAPs does not disclose National Security intent, capabilities, or vulnerabilities, and be prepared to brief selected portions to Senior AF and DoD officials, both verbally or in writing.

  • Research and Analysis: Independently plan and conduct complex research projects, analyze intelligence data, and produce comprehensive reports. They should be adept at identifying and evaluating sources of information and using various analytical techniques to draw conclusions.
  • Reporting and Communication: Able to communicate findings effectively to various audiences, including senior leadership and other stakeholders. This includes both written and oral presentations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with other analysts, agencies, and departments. This involves sharing information, coordinating efforts on joint projects, and contributing to inter-agency initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using intelligence databases, analytical tools, and software is required. Analysts should also stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to intelligence analysis.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, the ability to assess complex situations, and propose viable solutions. This includes anticipating potential issues and mitigating risks associated with intelligence operations.
  • Project Management: Manage projects effectively, including setting goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong oral and written communication skill, which are essential for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and draw clear conclusions from data analysis/review in support of customer needs.
  • Possess the ability to gather and analyze information from various sources, validate the reliability of information, and deliver and disseminate the information to decision makers and stakeholders.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experience
  • 4 years intelligence/CI experience in any DoD component.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree in a related area + 2 years' experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)


Security Clearance
  • Current - TS/SCI.
  • Willingness to submit to a CI polygraph.

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $106,260. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
