Counter UAS - Lead Engineer to lead the technical efforts on our Counter UAS programs and initiatives in Gilbert, AZ. This leader will oversee end-to-end technical/engineering aspects of executing innovation and developmental efforts supporting Counter UAS programs and initiatives.
The Counter UAS-Lead Engineer leads the development, testing, and deployment of systems designed to detect, track, identify, and mitigate unmanned aerial threats. The position plays a key leadership role on a multidisciplinary Counter UAS team with responsibility to evaluate multi-sensor modalities, counter-measures, providing technical authority to bridge engineering teams with operational stakeholders for national security. Working cross-functionally with Program Management, Operations, Business Development, and Engineering Leadership, this leader ensures alignment between Counter UAS Engineering efforts and ATSC's programmatic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- System Architecture & Design: Define and drive RF/Electrical system architectures and rapid prototyping efforts. Ensure modularity and compliance with open architecture standards.
- Technology Integration: Integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom component sensors-including radars, EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared), active/passive RF, and acoustic sensors.
- Testing & Evaluation: Plan and execute field assessments, write test plans, and analyze data to evaluate the performance of layered cUAS defenses.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Oversee multidisciplinary teams (Software, Aero, Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering) and coordinate with program managers and customers.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of RF systems (radars, jammers, High Power Microwave) and UAV/UAS flight vehicle development. Experience in rapid hardware development and simulation environments.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (or current clearance preferred).

• Ability to lift to 25 pounds as needed.
