Full Job Description
We are seeking a Counselor for our Education sector to advise, guide and provide insights to IT Leaders. The main objective is to assist executives in delivering improved results by optimizing decision making, mitigating risk, and addressing the struggles and challenges they face on the path to personal and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service a portfolio of 20-25 clients within our Education sector in any 12-month period cultivated or assigned
  • Participate in unstructured value-based client conversations and create new methods for a client's personal success
  • Provide confidential and professional advising to our members in-person as well as digitally
  • Evaluate members' needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy and work plan within the terms and conditions of the members' agreement
  • Embrace Info-Tech Research Group's culture of continuous learning by participating in on-going self and industry development activities
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and new ideas on behalf of the client's membership
  • Participate in regular communication, support, education, and participation with Sales Leadership and Account Directors to account planning and support efforts
  • Leverage ITRG and 3rd party assets to deliver on promises within the memberships
  • Diagnose member value expectations pain points and connect them with appropriate Info-Tech Research Group product solutions
  • Provide statistical and summary reports that reflect the elements of service KPI's, continuous improvement, and promotion of strategic and operational goals and objectives


Key Selection Criteria:

  • Possess a minimum of 15 years professional Education or consulting experience (or a combination of both)
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Education sector (K-12, higher education, or education-adjacent organizations), with understanding of core business models, industry trends, and technology challenges

  • Must have IT operational leadership experience; preferably have CIO leadership experience
  • Solid people relationship management skills; operational and systems development skills and experience in proposal writing, financial budgeting, management and reporting
  • In depth understanding of various industry executive management roles, politics, human behavior and predictive scenarios related to IT leadership
  • Ability to coordinate complex service delivery models and respond to diverse needs of a variety of key-stakeholders
  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism and adherence to ethical principles of conduct
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, self-starter
  • Ability to adhere to members and Info-Tech Research Group core value as a trusted executive
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills

  • Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is good to have to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.

  • Ability to travel approx. 25% -50% of the time, as needed and obtain a TN1 Visa
